Other than the head, this figure is made from hard plastic but is still lightweight despite his 15cm size. On his back is a large grey button that activates his light up head. The head does not glow that well though due to a weak light. The cartoon version of Diamondhead is one pale green color but the action figure is made up of three green colors to allow for the ‘features’ associated with the 15cm toy range. The closest match is on the right arm. The head and left arm had to be left see through so the light could shine in the head and the glow in the dark goo could be seen in the arm. The left arm does glow well in the dark as long as you expose it to a strong light source before hand. The goo is also gooey so looks good when played with in the dark.

Much of this figure is painted rather than cast in a coloured plastic, particularly the black areas which have a nice sheen. It is hard wearing though. Articulation wise, the 15cm figures are not as good as the smaller 10cm versions. The two shoulder joints do swivel but it seems more emphasis was given to the features in these toys. A rock-arm can be attached to the figure which looks good. Half of it can be made to ‘launch’ by whacking the peg at the back of the arm but this is more of a popping out and dropping action. A spring loaded action would have been more fun.

Overall it is a large stocky figure that will do well in your children’s battles with their other figures. For a cheaper, more realistic and fully articulated version, stick with the 10cm variety of Ben 10 figures.
