How many weight loss programs available on the market that promise fast weight loss are anything but a scam?  With so many weight loss products in the media, and infomercials it is very difficult to weed out the legitimate programs. Some programs state they enlighten you how to take off 30 pounds in 30 days without a hitch.  Any of the diets that are based upon correct exercise and diet may actually work for the solution to true weight loss can only be achieved through a combination of healthy nutrition and the correct amount of exercise for your build, weight and activity level.

When people don’t eat correctly or even decide to starve themselves in order to lose weight the body goes into survival mode instead of weight loss mode. This starvation mentality not only has long and short term health issues it is also not affective for weight loss. When a person east an inadequate amount of food the body thinks it is being starved, so instead of losing weight you may actually gain weight for your body is not releasing the fat to be burned. Therefore you don’t end up losing weight, just being very hungry and hurting your metabolism or worse your organs if it goes on long enough.

The best way to lose weight is to eat healthier foods and to burn more calories than you intake each day through adequate food and exercise. You can create your own lunches to take to work instead of hitting the cafeteria or fast food or vending machine.  By packing your own lunch you can have things you like to eat as well as make healthy choices such as fruits, vegetable and non-processed foods.  This healthy eating will actually boost your metabolism to burn more calories.
