A round shag rug is the newest decorating concept, with colors and shag lengths to match any style. The most popular designs are the Flokati and Zebra shag area rugs that may be real wool or sheepskins or animal hides or imitations from soft synthetic materials.
Small circular shag rugs are great for the bathroom and come in zillions of fashion colors and are easy to care for with just a brisk shake. The large round shag carpets are quite expensive if they’re genuine wool, but are being used on hardwood floors in bedrooms and living rooms, often in bright colors….not the old sickly greens and oranges but really vibrant tones or subtle neutrals like beige and white or the shag styles that have felted eyes.
Most places that sell the rectangular shag carpets will also have circular shag rugs in a variety of dimensions, but please take note that, as a rule, a round shag rug will be more expensive than a square or rectangular one.
