For those looking for a way to add a touch of class or vintage charm to their decor, checking out what is available at estate sales might be a wise investment of your time.  Many times, very old home furnishings are sold for a fraction of the cost one might expect to pay at a collectibles shop, or even on eBay.  If you are considering purchasing new furniture for your home, you may want to hold off until you check out what is available on the vintage and antique market in your area.  Believe it or not, you can pick up some very impressive pieces of collectible furniture for a fraction of its resale value just because you are ready to haul the items away that day.  Many people go to estate sales with only a standard size car.  That limits them to purchasing items that will fit into the car with them.  If you show up with a truck, you may find that you have little competition when it comes to bidding on larger pieces of antique furniture.  You can either take the furniture for use in your own home or resell it on eBay.  Either way, you can find some outstanding bargains on estate sale antiques with a little practice.
