There are tons of brands of chandeliers out there, but they are not equally deserving of the attention of you, the consumer. One of my favorite brands is Crystorama – who makes all sorts of domestic lighting, including some fine chandeliers – and at all price points. Sure, there are simple pendants and sconces too, but my favorite lighting category happens to be chandeliers, so Crystorama chandeliers are what I will foucus on in this article.

Within their range of chandeliers, are several collections of different styles and designs. You can get your Hampton, your Maria Theresa, your wrought iron, brass, etc. Want something in bohemian crystal? There you go. I really feel as though they have all bases covered here, with something that fits almost anyones wallet. From under a hundred dollars, over a few hundred – to several thousand. It is all in there. Their Chelsea collection is a contemporary style, focusing on cylindrical arrays of small white crystals, and these are great when you need something a little more coll and composed, as opposed to the more lavish styles they certainly have plenty of. Another one I like, is the 9 Lights Winslow Chandelier, which is a slightly dark piece in wrought iron, with small lamp shades on it – no crystal anywhere to be seen. As much as I like a good crystal chandelier, sometimes it is refreshing to look at something else entirely. The winslow, as well as the other wrought iron models, is proof that a chandelier is something in itself – rather than merely the sum and beauty of its crystals.

Lastly, if you are prepared to spend beyond 2,000 dollars and have the space for it, there are some fantastic pieces in Empire style intended for use in a foyer of some ceiling height. These are big – but amazing. If you have the space (I don’t, unfortunately) and the funds, go for it!
