			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Most of us struggle to eat healthy from time to time.  It is hard to eat the same foods over and over while you watch your less diet conscious friends indulge in all sorts of different culinary delights.  Let’s face it – a grilled chicken breast really is not all that interesting after a while.  If you are struggling with your diet, what you need to do is find a wide variety of healthy foods that you like that you truly enjoy.</p>
<p>One of the hardest parts about eating healthy for me is that I am all about dips, sauces and spreads.  Unfortunately, most dips out there are loaded with unhealthy fats.  I have found two main solutions for this.</p>
<p>The first is non-fat Greek yogurt.  You can use it in place of sour cream in most any dip recipe that you have.  Instead of having sour cream with Mexican food, I like to make a spicy yogurt based dip using garlic, cilantro and dried chipotle pepper.</p>
<p>Another way that I feed my dip addition without going off track is by making my favorite <a href="http://www.cookingquinoa.net/hummus-recipe/">hummus recipe</a>.  I start with a clean eating recipe that only uses one tablespoon of olive oil.  Then I toss in some extras to liven things up.  There are so many ways to mix things up that I never get bored.  Some different things to try adding in are sun-dried tomatoes, roasted garlic, roasted red pepper, and olives.</p>
<p>I have always struggled with dieting, because I really love carbohydrates.  Quinoa has been the answer for me.  There are so many different <a href="http://www.cookingquinoa.net/">quinoa recipes</a> to dry, that even though I eat it quite often, I never feel like I am eating the same thing over and over again.  The low glycemic carbohydrates and amino rich vegetarian protein helps me to fight cravings throughout the day.</p>

What started out as a means of avoiding predators and catching prey evolved into one of the most effective forms of exercise and healthy body maintenance today. One question that science is attempting to answer is if human evolution is partly a product of running. Is the design of our bodies due to the need of our ancestors to run? An interesting question best left to science for study.</p>
<p>As other means of hunting, protection and transportation evolved, the need for running was decreasing. Much similar to a 16 year old who gets their drivers license may not touch a bicycle again for years. What is it that drives people to run for sport, marathon or exercise? <p>Plain and simple, running is a great way to stay in shape, achieve personal goals, and even fulfill competitive needs. But most of all, people run because they enjoy it. From personal experience I can say that running is a great way to burn off a day’s stress and actually relax. Doesn’t that sound ironic? <p>Running is essentially an independent sport with a few exceptions like relay races etc. It can be done almost anywhere during many seasons. Not to say that it is an isolationist’s exercise, but it is a scientific fact that people regenerate their physical and mental capacities when they are alone.</p>
<p>Much like a form of meditation, running allows us to focus on our thoughts while at the same time reduce stress, worry and anxiety. If you don’t believe me, try being furious or even angry after a good run. One of the reasons for this reduction of stress is the bodies’ release of endorphins while performing exercise. These endorphins are released during long continuous workouts and running is the best example of this type of workout.</p>
