Most of these branches are based on the language of the community, for example Bengalis have a Bangla film industry.

Malayalam movies, from the state of Kerala, have a long history, starting from 1928 there have been films in the language of Malayalam. One of the biggest stars of Malayalam film industry is Mohanlal. His real name is actually Mohanlal Vishwanathan Nair, born in 1960. In addition to acting, he is also doing great job as a producer of films. As a result of that, he has Indian National Film Awards in both of these categories.

Mohanlal started his film career in 1978 and is very active till today. Manjil Virinja Pookkal was the film that brought him into bigger attention of the audience. The end of 80s and first half of 90s were the best times of his career. A movie called Rajavinte Makan, released in 1986 took him to the top, were he has been till today. For example the film Narasimham, released in 2000, has been one of the biggest successes of Malayalam movies ever – in terms of the response from the audience and the income.

By the end of 90s he started to get roles also outside of Kerala, first of all from the neighboring state Tamil Nadu.

For hopeless romantics and readers of romance novels, nothing is better than seeing characters’ love stories come to life in a motion picture. Here are four classic romance novels turned classic romance movies that are still well loved today.

Gone with the Wind (published: 1936; film release: 1939)

Margaret Mitchell’s Pulitzer Prize winning epic romance novel became a big screen hit that made movie history. The charming Clark Gable and stunning Vivian Leigh portray the scandalous Rhett Butler and spoiled southern belle Scarlett O’Hara in a love story that unfolds against the backdrop of the American Civil War and the Reconstruction Era.

Wuthering Heights (published: 1846; film release: multiple releases)

Emily Bronte’s beautiful gothic tale of the intense and thwarted love between characters Heathcliff and Cathy has had many film adaptations, beginning with a silent film in 1920. Though the film versions have omitted much of what is written in the novel, the passion between this fictional pair of lovers torn apart because of culture and class remains and makes this classic novel one of the most classic romance movies.

Portrait of Jennie (published: 1940; film release: 1948)

One of author Robert Nathan most successful novels about an impoverished artist and the mysterious girl who inspires his work easily became one of the most haunting romances when it was brought to life on the silver screen.

Love Story (published: 1970; film release: 1970)

Erich Segal’s bestselling novel was also a box office hit. Audiences fell in love with college students Oliver Barrett and Jenny Cavelleri in this tear jerking romantic drama. The film’s famous quote, “Love means never having to say you’re sorry” quickly became a motto amongst couples of the time.

These classic romance movies have touched hearts through the turn of pages, the big screen and have remained in the hearts of many years later.

Many applauded when big screen in India has hit the global cinema such as in United Kingdom and United States. It produces quality film annually as Bollywood has proven in the years of its existence. Their involvement in the industry has shown ability of production staff and casts in better performance. Hindi movies have done exemplary record in the history. It makes their country proud as well as the whole Asia.

One of Bollywood’s movie is entitled Boom Hindi movie. This was directed by Kaizad Gustad who made the biggest hit in most of his film. It talks about passion, sex and action thriller. This focuses on three hot supermodels who have clothes to consider with glamour and elegance. Trouble starts on one of the fashion show where a treasure was stolen by goons. This became the focus of the plot having three gorgeous models in tricking goons to recover the stolen treasure.

Boom has a centerpiece that was placed in the middle of the story. It has the interest that draws back the crowd into the screen. This picture captures the attention and awareness of the viewers as the director’s guts on combining hot sexy and thriller action in one film is possible. This has become a different picture that the film outfit has ever shown. Soundtracks talk on what the script tells about. It could give you the melody that sang your heart out.

Movie critics have given an average rating on this movie as it lacks the climax. It loses the narration of the plot in the middle of the story. It has confusing scenes between three supermodels and goons. They have reviewed that this hasn’t blast what the audience expects. The casts’ performance is better but the sequence of the story evolves only in the first phase of the movie.

Although, many have given negative feedback on Boom but still it didn’t mean failure on Bollywood as it inspires them to do film that could correct the mistake of the previous. Critics are not done to disappoint the director but it is made as a challenge on his part.
