Kirk and Michael are two of the best actors that have ever graced the silverscreen.

Kirk was a major box office star in the 1950s and 1960s with notable films such as Lust for Life (1956) where portrayed the Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh and Spartacus (1960) where he played the part of the rebellious slave.

Michael Douglas can be widely remembered as the greedy Gordon Gekko in Wallstreet (1987). He’s also won the Academy and Golden Globe’s Best Actor recognition in the film making it one of the best must watch movies of all time.

Film Together: Unfortunately, despite the father and son’s critical acclaim acting, they only had one movie together. It Runs in the Family (2003) was a comedy-drama movie where they played father and son. The film also starred Michael Douglas’ son by his first marriage Cameron Douglas.

Voights

Jonathan Vincent “Jon” Voight – Angelina Jolie Voight is not a very popular father and daughter tandem to be seen in Hollywood nowadays due to the fact that Angelina Jolie is estranged from her father for many years until reuniting with him in February 2010.

Jon Voight’s prominence came with his performance in Midnight Cowboy (1969) as a would-be gigolo where he also won BAFTA’s Best Newcomer of the Year.

Angelina Jolie can be remembered as Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider series, Gia Maria Carangi in Gia, Lisa Rowe in Girl, Interrupted. She’s currently married to another Hollywood A-list actor Brad Pitt.

Film Together: Due to not having a good relationship, Jon and Angelina also had one movie together where they both had top-bill status. Lara Croft: Tomb Raider which was released in 2001 had Jon Voight play as Lord Richard Croft, Lara Croft’s father.

Estevezes

The Estevezes is probably one of the most popular celebrity families in Hollywood today.

Ramon Antonio Gerard Estevez, or more popularly known as Martin Sheen, received critical acclaim in films like Apocalypse Now and Gettysburg. He can also be remembered in the long-running political drama TV series The West Wing where he played as President Josiah Bartlet.

Charlie Sheen was born Carlos Irwin Estevez had his first taste of the camera when he appeared as an extra in his father’s film Apocalypse Now. The film Platoon (1986) would first film to be credited to him.

Films Together: This father and son tandem can be seen in different films; in Wallstreet (1987) where they played father and son, Cadence (1990), Hot Shot! (1991) where the elder did a cameo, A Letter from Death Row (1998) and No Code of Conduct (1998) as father and son.
