Looking at the Best Home Alarm System for Your Family

There are tons of great alarm systems out there, and some of my favorite picks might just surprise you. The best home alarm system is one that fits into the family’s lifestyle, I know from personal experience that a laser system will do no good what so ever if your family forgets to set it every morning when they leave. Buy the same token, a Doberman is defiantly not the security system that works for everyone either so do some poking around and see what idea works best for you.

Animals as Security

This can either be a brilliant idea, or a really bad one. Dogs are the traditional choice, but I know people who own Emus as nighttime security for outdoors, nothing gets by them, and they way don’t like strangers. It is harder to sue someone over a bird attack than it would be a dog attack, and the few folks I know who employ this particular type of “security” insist that it is the best home alarm system around. If you feel better with a dog, a trained guard dog is a great purchase, though if an alarm is all you are after, a Pomeranian does a great job at that for sure.

Home Security Systems

These are getting tougher to make pay, as police are either too far away in many cases to make any difference, or they just don’t respond at all. You can go with a company like Brinks, but having lived with one for over fifteen years I feel justified in saying that I was unimpressed. My father was burglarized over four times with the device in his house, and lost thousands in property, as well as a few irreplaceable heirlooms. Just food for thought.
