The best thing about this is you’re paying for the cost of the machine, the cost of the manufacture and development of the machine, shipping to your house, and that’s all. All of those expenses are necessary. Without the money to manufacture the machine, there would be no machine. Without the money to develop the machine, the machine would be nothing but a hole in the ground. Without shipping costs, there’s no way for the machine to get to your house. What wholesale hvac units don’t pay for is the cost of the guy selling you the machine’s commission on it.
There are other good reasons to buy online as well. Instead of checking out one machine and trying to decide on your gut feeling of whether or not that machine is a good one or not, you can go with a lot of machines at once, using the internet to compare prices and reviews and getting a lot of good information in one succinct place. You can find out a lot about hvac machines through just fifteen minutes of research.
Unfortunately, the internet isn’t all fun and games when it comes to hvac equipment. Many manufacturers, from Thermstar to Carrier to dozens of other manufacturers, will not cover warranties on any products purchased online. Some of them, you can get around that by calling their number on their website and ordering the machine from the telephone, technically. Some manufacturers will honor warranties through the telephone and not online, and some are more stringent. Sometimes, you may need to find a contractor you like and let them purchase it in your place, as they will sell to contractors and not to non-licensed people.
